Silicone seals and gaskets typically have a high temperature limit of 400° F to 450° F and a low temperature limit of -65° F to -100° F.
This makes silicone the preferred material for applications with demanding temperature requirements. However, if the component will not be subjected to extreme hot or cold, EPDM may offer a more cost-effective alternative to silicone.
